On 26 August 2026, Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce, an expanded partnership that brings Salesforce data and workflows into Claude, and puts Claude inside Salesforce and Slack. Three weeks later, at Dreamforce, Salesforce folded it into a wider launch called AIforce. Most coverage since has repeated the launch claims. This guide sets out what actually ships today, what is still in beta, how the security model works, what it costs, and the questions Gulf companies should settle first, starting with where the AI processing happens.
The short version
- Claudeforce is the partnership. Its first product is Salesforce in Claude, a Claude plugin with 37 sales skills, in beta for all customers since Dreamforce.
- Claude also works inside Salesforce. It is a reasoning model for the Atlas Reasoning Engine, the default model for Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes, and available in Agent Builder and through Amazon Bedrock within the Salesforce Trust Boundary.
- Claude is the default model in Slack and powers Slackbot, with Claude Tag and Slack Code alongside it.
- Model choice survives. OpenAI models remain available in Agentforce, and Salesforce is piloting Koa, its own CRM reasoning model.
- Everything runs on your existing Salesforce permissions. That is the safety model, and also the risk: loose sharing rules become very visible the day you switch it on.
- In the Gulf, check the processing location first. On Amazon Bedrock, the newest Claude models reach the UAE and Bahrain regions only through global cross-Region inference, and no Saudi region is listed.
What Claudeforce is
Salesforce announced Claudeforce alongside its second-quarter fiscal 2027 results on 26 August 2026. The announcement describes an expanded strategic partnership that connects Claude’s reasoning with Salesforce’s data, workflows, business logic, actions and governance. Salesforce becomes Anthropic’s preferred CRM, Slack becomes Anthropic’s preferred platform for its internal teams, and each company is a customer of the other.
The partnership runs in three directions, and it helps to keep them apart:
- Salesforce in Claude. Your CRM comes to Claude. Sellers work in Claude, and Claude reads and updates Salesforce on their behalf.
- Claude in Salesforce. Claude becomes one of the models behind Agentforce, Salesforce’s agent platform.
- Claude in Slack. Claude powers Slackbot and the AI features in Slack.
For developers there is a fourth thread: Claude Code with Salesforce’s development plugin, which has more than 40 skills, and Headless 360, which exposes Salesforce to AI clients through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Salesforce in Claude: what sellers actually get
Salesforce in Claude is a plugin for Claude, built by Salesforce and Anthropic, with 37 prebuilt sales skills. The skills Salesforce shows include a daily briefing, pipeline review, forecast narrative, stakeholder map, close plan, objection handling, account plan, lead triage, customer health, call preparation, conversation summaries, meeting scheduling, win-loss review, activity logging and a Salesforce hygiene check.
On first use, a setup skill reads the seller’s context from Salesforce, Slack and any other Claude connector, learns their role and book of business, and builds a tailored view of accounts and pipeline. From there a seller can ask for the morning plan, prepare for a call or draft a follow-up, and Claude can update Salesforce. By default, Claude asks the user to approve each change before it is written.
What you need
- A paid Claude plan. Anthropic’s setup guide says the beta is open on all paid plans.
- An eligible Salesforce edition. The same guide says your organization needs the latest Sales Cloud enterprise edition.
- Beta approval. A Salesforce admin requests access through Salesforce’s AgentExchange form, then follows Salesforce’s setup article.
- Two admins working together. The Salesforce admin enables the Salesforce MCP server and shares the External Client App’s consumer key and secret. A Claude organization owner adds them to the Salesforce connector, then chooses whether the plugin is installed by default, available to install or required for each group.
- Personal sign-in. Each user signs in with their own Salesforce account, so Claude acts as that user and sees only what they can see.
What it does not cover yet
The launch skills are for sales. Salesforce lists service, marketing, commerce, revenue, field service, Tableau, MuleSoft, Informatica, Data 360, Headless 360 and industry skills as coming, with more skills from late 2026. There is no published price, and the product is in beta, so plan a pilot with clear success measures before any wider rollout.
Claude inside Salesforce: Agentforce, Coworker and Vibes
According to the Claudeforce announcement, Claude does several jobs inside Salesforce:
- It is a reasoning model for the Atlas Reasoning Engine, which plans and runs Agentforce agents.
- It is the default model for Agentforce Coworker, the AI teammate that answers questions across CRM and Slack and can plan and run tasks. Coworker is generally available, and Salesforce says 100,000 users switched it on in its first 35 days.
- It is the default model for Agentforce Vibes, Salesforce’s AI coding environment for developers.
- It is available in Agent Builder for the agents you build yourself.
- It is available through Amazon Bedrock within the Salesforce Trust Boundary, which Salesforce positions for regulated industries.
The October 2025 announcement adds detail on that last point. Anthropic was the first model provider fully integrated within the Salesforce trust boundary, with all Claude traffic kept inside Salesforce’s virtual private cloud, and RBC Wealth Management uses Claude in Agentforce to prepare advisers for client meetings.
Claude in Slack
Claude is now the default model for Slack and powers Slackbot, the personal assistant that reasons across Slack conversations and Salesforce data. Salesforce says Slackbot has driven 8.1 million hours of annualized productivity gains inside its own business. Two more pieces sit alongside it. Claude Tag is an AI teammate in Slack channels that remembers channel context and handles shared tasks in threads. Slack Code gives teams channels where people and agents write, review and ship code together, with Anthropic as a founding partner. At Dreamforce, Slackbot and Slack Code became part of Slackforce, together with Slack CRM, which connects Slack conversations and updates to Salesforce.
Where AIforce fits
At Dreamforce on 15 September 2026, Salesforce introduced AIforce, which it describes as a live interface layer that brings Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, permissions and governance to whichever AI interface people use. The first three offerings map to three places where people work:
| Offering | Where people work | Status announced at Dreamforce |
|---|---|---|
| Claudeforce (Salesforce in Claude) | Claude | Beta, open to all customers |
| Slackforce (Slackbot, Slack CRM, Slack Code) | Slack | General availability scheduled for October 2026 |
| Agentforce Coworker | Salesforce | Generally available |
Underneath sits a Headless Toolkit of MCP servers, APIs, plugins, skills and developer tools, plus AgentExchange for partner apps. Salesforce names Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Google and Microsoft as its agentic interface partners. Our reading: Salesforce wants to remain the system of record and the control point behind every AI interface, including interfaces it does not own.
Is Salesforce dropping model choice?
Some commentary has called Claudeforce the end of model-agnostic AI at Salesforce. The facts are more mixed. Claude is the default in Slack, in Salesforce in Claude, in Agentforce Coworker and in Agentforce Vibes. OpenAI models remain available in Agentforce, and in October 2025 OpenAI was named a preferred model for the Atlas Reasoning Engine and Prompt Builder. Salesforce is also piloting Koa, its first CRM reasoning model, post-trained on NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super with synthetic data and run inside Salesforce’s trust boundary, with general availability expected in Winter 2026 in US regions. In October 2026, Salesforce’s stated position was that customers pick the model for each use case, with Koa orchestrated alongside frontier models.
Our advice is to treat Claude as the strong default it now is, and to design agents so that the model is a setting. Keep prompts, test sets and evaluation scores for each use case, so you can switch when price, quality or residency rules change.
Security: what protects you, and what exposes you
Every request runs on the user’s existing Salesforce permissions and business rules, and every action routes back through Salesforce. No new permissions model is needed. That is good news and a warning at the same time. Claude will faithfully respect your profiles, permission sets, sharing rules and field-level security, including rules nobody has reviewed in years. If a sales representative can technically open every account in the org, Claude can summarize every account in the org for them, in seconds.
The controls that matter:
- Approval before writes. By default, Claude asks the user to approve each change before it is written to Salesforce. Users can also choose whether Claude asks before emailing anyone outside the company.
- Narrow updates. Salesforce says record updates change only the field Claude specified.
- Zero data retention. Salesforce says the business data used to answer a question is not retained by the model provider.
- Enterprise Frontier Safeguards. Announced by Anthropic on 1 September 2026, they let eligible customers keep the activity data used for misuse detection in their own cloud account, under their own encryption keys, access policies and audit logs. Alerts go directly to the customer, with no human review by Anthropic required. Rollout is phased from autumn 2026, and the supported surfaces include Claude Enterprise, Claude Code, the Claude Platform and Amazon Bedrock.
- Developer guardrails. On the Headless 360 MCP server, every transaction runs as the authenticated user, object and field permissions and sharing rules still apply, actions appear in the audit trail, and MCP clients can require approval each time a tool runs.
Data residency in the Gulf: settle this first
This is where Gulf buyers need to slow down, because three different questions tend to get blurred together.
- Where is your CRM data stored? Salesforce has offered Hyperforce in the UAE on AWS since December 2023. In February 2025, Salesforce announced it would bring Hyperforce to Saudi Arabia with AWS, as part of a USD 500 million investment in the Kingdom.
- Where does the AI processing happen? Storing data in the country does not mean the model runs in the country. Salesforce’s UAE Hyperforce page covers storage, and we have not found a Salesforce document that states where Claude processing runs for Gulf orgs.
- Where can Claude run on AWS in the region? Amazon’s Bedrock documentation lists Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5.5 as reachable from the UAE (me-central-1) and Bahrain (me-south-1) regions only through global cross-Region inference, which can route a request to any supported commercial region. In-region and geographic inference are not offered there, and no Saudi region is listed.
None of this rules Claude out. It means you should classify your data before you switch anything on, and get the processing location in writing. A simple three-way split works well:
- Green: public content, product information and internal knowledge articles. Suitable for any surface.
- Amber: pipeline, account plans and other internal business data. Suitable once your legal team accepts the processing location and the retention terms.
- Red: personal data of customers or citizens, banking and health records, and anything a sector regulator restricts. Keep these out of prompts until in-region processing is confirmed, or until your data protection officer approves the transfer.
The rules behind this are real. Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law has been fully enforceable since 14 September 2024. In the UAE, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 sits alongside the separate regimes of the DIFC and ADGM, and banks, insurers and government entities also answer to their own regulators. This article is not legal advice, so bring your data protection officer in early.
Arabic: what is proven and what is not
Salesforce launched Agentforce in Arabic in the UAE on 27 November 2025, starting with Service Agent and Employee Agent, with more agents to follow. The announcement does not say whether the Arabic support targets Modern Standard Arabic or Gulf dialects. On the model side, Anthropic publishes multilingual benchmark results relative to English: Claude Sonnet 4.5 scored 97.2 percent of its English result in Arabic, and Claude Haiku 4.5 scored 92.5 percent. The table does not yet cover the newest models.
A benchmark score says little about your brand voice. For a bilingual rollout:
- Decide whether customers hear Modern Standard Arabic or a Gulf register, and write that into the agent’s instructions.
- Keep a glossary of names, products and terms that must never be translated.
- Have native speakers review every Arabic answer during the pilot.
- Test right-to-left rendering in any generated interface before customers see it.
- Keep legal and regulated wording out of machine generation.
We set out what genuine Arabic and English parity takes in Arabic-first on Sitecore, and the same principles apply to agents.
What it costs
Salesforce has not published a price for Salesforce in Claude, and says pricing and packaging may change. You will need a paid Claude plan and an eligible Sales Cloud edition. Agentforce itself has published list prices, which Salesforce last updated in October 2026:
| Pricing model | List price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Flex Credits | USD 500 per 100,000 credits. A standard action uses 20 credits and a voice action 30. | Metered agent use across teams |
| Conversations | USD 2 per conversation | Customer-facing service agents |
| Agentforce add-ons | USD 125 per user per month, or USD 150 for Industries, with unmetered employee agent use | Heavy internal use by named users |
| Max Edition | From USD 550 per user per month, including 2.75 million Flex Credits per org per year | Organizations standardizing on Agentforce |
| Agentforce Coworker user licence | USD 50 per user per month, covering Coworker searches with an indexing allowance | Search and answers across CRM and Slack |
Salesforce Foundations, which carries no charge, includes Agentforce Builder, Prompt Builder, Agent Script, Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes, so you can prototype before you buy. Flex Credits and Conversations cannot be used in the same org, so choose deliberately. The pricing page does not tie prices to a particular model.
Which tool for which job
| If you need to | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Give sellers a daily plan, call preparation and pipeline hygiene where they already work in Claude | Salesforce in Claude | Built for sellers, with approval before every write |
| Answer questions across CRM and Slack for any employee | Agentforce Coworker | Generally available, with Claude as the default model |
| Serve customers on web, messaging or voice, in Arabic and English | Agentforce Service Agent | Arabic support launched in the UAE, priced per conversation or by credits |
| Run multi-step back-office work with checkpoints | Agentforce agents on the Atlas Reasoning Engine | Choose Claude or another model for each use case; long-horizon agents add approval checkpoints |
| Speed up Salesforce development and admin work | Agentforce Vibes, Claude Code with the Salesforce plugin, Headless 360 | Claude by default, and every action runs as the authenticated user |
A 90-day plan for Gulf teams
- Weeks 1 and 2: foundations. Classify your data as green, amber or red. Ask Salesforce and Anthropic, in writing, where processing runs for your org and which retention terms apply. Review profiles, permission sets and sharing rules for every pilot user. Pick two use cases with a measurable baseline.
- Weeks 3 to 6: pilot. If you are eligible, run Salesforce in Claude with a small group of sellers on green and amber data, with approvals switched on. Switch on Agentforce Coworker for one team. Build one Arabic and English service agent in a sandbox, and have native speakers review every answer.
- Weeks 7 to 12: measure and decide. Compare against your baselines: time to prepare for a meeting, pipeline fields completed, case resolution time and edits to Arabic output. Scale what beats the baseline, stop what does not, and write down why.
Readiness checklist
- Which Salesforce edition do we run, and does it qualify for the Salesforce in Claude beta?
- Which Claude plan do our people use, and who owns the Claude organization settings?
- Have we reviewed sharing rules and permission sets for every pilot user?
- Do we have the processing location in writing for each surface we plan to use?
- Which data is green, amber and red, and who approved that classification?
- Are approvals switched on for every write to Salesforce and every external email?
- Who reviews Arabic output, and against which glossary?
- Which baselines will show whether the pilot worked?
- Which model runs each agent, and can we switch it without a rebuild?
- Do Enterprise Frontier Safeguards apply to us, and have we requested access?
What to watch next
- General availability and pricing for Salesforce in Claude, and the service, marketing and industry skills.
- Any in-region Claude processing in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, on Bedrock or inside Salesforce.
- General availability of Koa, expected in Winter 2026 in US regions first.
- The phased rollout of Enterprise Frontier Safeguards.
- Hyperforce going live in Saudi Arabia.
Frequently asked questions
What is Claudeforce?
Claudeforce is the name of the expanded partnership between Salesforce and Anthropic, announced on 26 August 2026. Its first product is Salesforce in Claude, a Claude plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills. The partnership also covers Claude inside Agentforce and Claude as the default model in Slack.
Is Salesforce in Claude available now?
It has been in beta for all customers since Dreamforce in September 2026. Your organization needs a paid Claude plan, the latest Sales Cloud enterprise edition and approval through Salesforce’s beta request form.
Can Claude see all of our Salesforce data?
Claude acts as each signed-in user and sees only what that user’s Salesforce permissions allow. If those permissions are too broad, Claude’s reach is too broad, so review profiles, permission sets and sharing rules before a pilot.
Does Claude replace Agentforce?
No. Agentforce remains the platform for building, governing and running agents. Claude is one of the models it runs on, and the default model in Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes.
Can we use Claude in Agentforce in the UAE and Saudi Arabia?
Agentforce has supported Arabic in the UAE since November 2025. Where Claude processing runs for your org is a separate question. Get it in writing from Salesforce before you put personal or regulated data through it.
What does it cost?
Salesforce has not published a price for Salesforce in Claude. Agentforce is priced by Flex Credits, by conversation or per user, and Salesforce Foundations includes Agentforce Builder, Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes at no charge.
Should we wait?
Hold back regulated and personal data until the processing location is settled. Start everything else now: clean up permissions, agree the data rules and measure two use cases, so you are ready when the service and industry skills arrive.
