Foundations, research organizations and social enterprises in the Gulf, Egypt and Africa often run on a patchwork. Donors sit in one spreadsheet, gifts in a payment gateway’s export, grants in email, programme data in a separate database and volunteers in messaging groups. When the board asks what a programme raised and what it achieved, someone assembles the answer by hand. Institutional funders want outcomes, and Zakat and other restricted gifts must be traceable to the purpose the donor chose.
Salesforce’s Nonprofit Cloud puts donors, gifts, programmes, outcomes, grants and volunteers on one platform, and this month Salesforce changed how it is sold. Here is the offer as it stands, how the work maps to the product, and what to design for in the region.
The offer: editions, prices and Power of Us
Salesforce made new Nonprofit Cloud editions available on 22 September 2026. They replace the Enterprise, Unlimited and Agentforce 1 Editions, and every edition includes Slack with Slackbot, Tableau Next, Premier Success, enterprise security and Agentforce. Salesforce’s pricing page lists them per user per month, billed annually on an annual contract:
- Sales & Service Core, US$70: the nonprofit data model, the Nonprofit Toolkit, Accounting Subledger Growth, and 500,000 Flex Credits per org per year for AI, Agentforce and data.
- Sales & Service Advanced, US$125: more AI, storage, automation and security, including a full sandbox and backup, with 1 million Flex Credits.
- Sales Max or Service Max, US$285: everything in Advanced, plus the Grantmaking suite and the full Agentforce for Industries suite, with 2.75 million Flex Credits.
Through the Power of Us programme, an eligible nonprofit receives 10 Nonprofit Cloud Core licences at no cost, and Salesforce offers discounts on additional licences. Premier Success starts with the first paid licence, the eleventh. Apply through the Power of Us portal before the build, so the work starts in the right org and edition.
Two notes on names. Salesforce introduced Agentforce Nonprofit in December 2025 as the new name for Nonprofit Cloud, while its pricing pages and the September announcement say Nonprofit Cloud, so you will see both. The Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is a different, older product. When Salesforce announced the new Nonprofit Cloud in March 2023, it said it planned to continue supporting its existing managed packages, NPSP among them. Moving from NPSP means a new data model, which Salesforce’s implementation guide builds on person accounts, and person accounts cannot be turned off once enabled. Plan it as a migration.
How the work maps to Nonprofit Cloud
Salesforce’s developer guide organizes Nonprofit Cloud into Fundraising, Program Management, Case Management, Outcome Management, Grantmaking, Volunteer Management and households. The table maps them to the work, with the decision each one forces early.
| The work | In Nonprofit Cloud | Decide before you build |
|---|---|---|
| Donors and households | Person accounts for individuals, and business accounts with Party Relationship Groups for organizations and households | How Arabic and Latin spellings of a name are held, and how family giving is credited |
| Gifts and recurring giving | Fundraising, with commitments whose schedules can be updated, stopped and restarted, and gift acknowledgements | Your fund structure, from Zakat and sadaqah to restricted programme funds, and receipts in Arabic and English |
| Programmes | Program Management for enrolments, benefit disbursements and recurring sessions, and Case Management for casework | What counts as a participant in each country, and who may see their records |
| Outcomes | Outcome Management: indicator definitions and assignments, performance periods and results | The indicators each funder expects, and periods that match their reporting cycles |
| Grants you receive | Fundraising opportunities and commitments, with Outcome Management indicators for the reports | Which funder requirements you track, from report dates to budget lines |
| Grants you give | Grantmaking for funding opportunities, applications and reviews, budgets, awards and disbursements, in the Max editions | Review panels, conflicts of interest, and Arabic application forms |
| Volunteers | Volunteer Management for recruitment, shifts and hours | Shifts across sites and seasons, and consent for young volunteers |
| Boards and funders | Reports, dashboards and Tableau Next | The board pack and the main funder reports, written down first |
For funders, Salesforce’s grantmaking pricing adds grantseeker and grantee experiences to its Grantmaking Max offer, with 100 Customer Community Plus login licences on Experience Cloud, at the same US$285.
What to design around in the region and Africa
- Restricted money. Zakat and other restricted gifts must be spent on the purpose the donor chose. Settle the fund structure, and who may reassign a gift, before you migrate a single record, and report balances by fund.
- Ramadan. For many organizations in the region, much of the year’s giving arrives during Ramadan. Test gift entry, payment reconciliation and receipts at that volume beforehand, and plan the campaigns in Marketing Cloud or your email platform.
- Currencies and channels. Gifts arrive in several currencies, through card gateways, bank transfers and mobile wallets. Settle currency settings before you load data, since the implementation guide flags them when accounts are converted. Core includes Accounting Subledger Growth, so decide early how gift data reaches the general ledger.
- Arabic and English. Hold names in both scripts where donors use both, write receipts and messages in both languages, and test every screen your staff use in Arabic. Salesforce lists Arabic as Beta for Agentforce agents, so keep a person reviewing Arabic answers.
- Beneficiary data. Programme records can hold health, income and family details, including children’s. Limit access by role, record consent, and follow the data protection law of each country you work in.
- Integrations. Payment gateways, the finance system and email come first. Put retries and logging in an integration layer, so a failed payment message is found the same day.
Reporting to boards and funders
Write the board pack before the build. List the figures it needs, such as income by fund and campaign, programme reach, outcomes against targets and grant reports due, then trace each figure to a field and an owner. Outcome Management records indicator results by performance period, so agree indicators with funders early and set periods to match their reporting cycles. Tableau Next, included in every edition, covers the dashboards, and our Tableau and analytics team can build them. Keep the board’s measures few enough to read in one sitting.
Our nonprofit work
Arcsen is a Salesforce Summit partner with 170+ consultants and 400+ certifications, working from Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Cairo, and our delivery is Arabic-first. Our nonprofit clients include IDinsight, the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, Qatar Foundation and Umuzi. For lean teams, our managed services keep the org running after go-live.
Where to start
- Confirm Power of Us eligibility and apply before design starts.
- Write down the board pack and the reporting requirements of your largest funders.
- Agree the fund structure, including Zakat and restricted funds, and the rules for gift entry and receipts.
- Start with donors and gifts, and prove them over one campaign cycle, such as Ramadan, before adding programmes, grants and volunteers.
- Already on NPSP? Start with a health check of the org, and set the migration date with the facts in front of you.
Frequently asked questions
Is Salesforce free for nonprofits?
Partly. Through the Power of Us programme, an eligible nonprofit receives 10 Nonprofit Cloud Core licences at no cost. Further licences are discounted: Salesforce’s nonprofit pricing lists Core at US$70 and Advanced at US$125 per user per month, billed annually.
Is Agentforce Nonprofit the same as Nonprofit Cloud?
Yes. Salesforce introduced Agentforce Nonprofit in December 2025 as the new name for Nonprofit Cloud, and its pricing pages and its September 2026 editions announcement use the name Nonprofit Cloud.
What happens to organizations on NPSP?
Salesforce said in March 2023 that it planned to continue supporting its managed packages, NPSP among them, and would help customers judge the right time to move. Nonprofit Cloud uses a different data model built on person accounts, so moving is a migration project with its own plan.
Is Grantmaking included in Nonprofit Cloud?
In the Max editions. Salesforce lists the Grantmaking suite in Sales Max and Service Max at US$285 per user per month, and its Grantmaking Max offer includes grantee experiences with 100 Customer Community Plus login licences.
Does Nonprofit Cloud work in Arabic?
Plan and test for it. Hold names in both scripts, write receipts and messages in both languages, and test every screen your staff use in Arabic. Salesforce lists Arabic as Beta for Agentforce agents, so keep a person reviewing Arabic answers.
